June 11, 2023 - Removing Our Spiritual Blinders
Sometimes we read Scripture with spiritual blinders on and miss the whole counsel of God. Pastor Jim reflects on John 11, the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. He shares truths that he has learned in the past from this story and how God used these truths to show him that we often have blinders on when we read Scripture. When we only focus on our preconceived ideas or topics that we want to focus on, we may miss all what God is saying to us in that passage. May 28, 2023 - Producing good fruit
God's church has a responsibility to produce much good fruit. However, in order for this to happen, we must be free from contamination. It's the job of the pastor to protect the church by identifying and eliminating those who sow discord within the Church. This is done in order to produce the highest quality fruit.

May 7, 2023 - The Blessings of Abraham
By hanging on the cross, Jesus became accursed to redeem us from the curse of the law. He also became a curse so that we might receive the blessings of Abraham. (Galatians 3:11-14). Unfortunately many do not receive these blessings because they do not know what they are. In this message, Pastor Jim looks at what it means to receive these blessings as well as to understand what a great spiritual heritage we have. If we belong to Christ we are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise (Galations 3:29). Abraham's blessings are part of our inheritance!

April 30, 2023 - The Do-Over
Today, Rosa Telep is looking at the "Do-Over" - the continual change of our hearts. God wants us to think about our hearts. Do we need a do-over? We need to cherish, to check and to champion our hearts!

April 23, 2023 - The Power of The Holy Spirit
The power that the Holy Spirit is a gift from God that gives us gifts that manifest itself in the natural as well as the supernatural. He gives us power, love, self-discipline and discernment. As a church we believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and that the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit are relevant and still being used today. God's heart is to divinely empower the church. He has given each of us a call and a purpose for our lives and has given us the tools needed to fulfill this purpose and empowers us by the Holy Spirit to do all that He wants us to do.

April 16, 2023 - The Importance of Good Roots
We need well established roots in Jesus Christ and His word as well as in our family and in the church. Like a tree planted by the streams of water (Psalm 1), Christ needs to be the source of our stability, our thirst and our nutrients. We also need to be rooted in the body of Christ and not forsake the gathering of believers (Heb. 10:25). We need to be rooted in a good church with a good foundation. Pastor Jim then looks at the roots of the Apostolic Church.

March 26, 2023 - The Mercy, Grace & Compassion of God
Jesus sympathizes and identifies with every single weakness we will ever go through. He does not respond to us with rejection and judgement but with mercy, grace and compassion. As our great high priest, Jesus willingly shed his blood for each and every one of us. We now have access to the very presence of God and this rich supply of mercy, grace and compassion.

March 12,2023 - No Excuses - God Equips Us!
When God thought Moses was ready to lead the people out of Egypt, Moses didn't think that he was ready. He gave God a laundry list of excuses of why he wasn't the one to lead God's people. We can also look at the lives of Gideon, Jeremiah and Jonah. They too didn't think that they could do what God called them to do. However, by obedience they all stepped into what God had for them. We too are created by God with talents and abilities and God has equipped us to do what He calls us to do.

March 5, 2023 - Humility: Big Church - Little Head
Proverbs 16:18 - "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall." This is a warning that everyone should take seriously. Pride ultimately leads to destruction. If we want to go somewhere in God's kingdom it will be because of humility. Humility is not losing our identity. It's being a servant while knowing who we are in Christ Jesus.

Feb.26, 2023 - A Vision to Build
Jack Loeve and Pastor Jim share the vision they have for Family Worship Centre moving forward in building a larger facility. Our sanctuary just isn't big enough so it is time to extend our tent pegs and build on to make a larger church building. As we move forward we want our church to be more than a building but a spiritual house where people come and find Jesus Christ.

Feb.19, 2023 - May They Know We Are Christians By Our Love
Sarah Choi shares from John 13:34-35 on loving one another. Does the world know we are different from them? Do we stand out? Often the church doesn't look much different than the world we are in but not to be a part of. As Christians we are to love one another, to serve one another, to sacrifice for each other and even be willing to die for one another - just as Jesus did.

Feb. 12, 2023 - Testimonies and Baptism. What does Jesus see?
Four people share their testimony. In Mark 1:9-11 Jesus was baptized. When He was baptized three things happened: the heavens were opened, the Spirit descended like a dove and God spoke. What happened at Jesus' baptism can be expected to happen today. We need to expect the heavens to open, that the Spirit will come and that God will speak. If we are not seeing what Jesus saw, our focus is in the wrong place. If we focus on our problems we will miss out on what God is doing.

January 29, 2023 - Sandra's testimony and "Connecting to God's Presence"
Sandra Hackner shares her testimony. Exodus 20:18 - "When the people saw the thunder and lightening and heard the trumpet and saw the mountain in smoke, they trembled with fear. They stayed at a distance" As Christians we have God's presence in us. Like heat from a furnace that needs to be properly connected to the ductwork to flow throughout the house, we too need to be properly connected to God's presence in us for the Spirit to flow through us.
